As a Corporate FX Well Instructor, you will embody our mission by delivering exceptional fitness experiences and fostering a culture of health and wellness for all participants. Key Responsibilities
- Act with integrity and in a manner that promotes the culture, mission, and values of FX Well.
- Deliver an exceptional, authentic group fitness experience that is safe, effective, and fun.
- Apply safe and effective movement strategies, including appropriate coaching, form correction, and modifications for participant needs.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating class environment that supports participants at a range of fitness levels.
- Ensure all class participants are registered and checked into class through the applicable system or process.
- Arrive prepared and on time; ensure the class space, equipment, and music are ready before class and left in show condition afterward.
- Build strong relationships with participants and develop an engaged following within the corporate fitness community.
- Follow all FX Well, client, and facility policies, procedures, safety standards, dress code, and professional expectations.
- Communicate promptly with the FX Well team when a substitute is needed due to an absence, and support timely coverage coordination.
- Communicate participant feedback, equipment needs, scheduling changes, and onsite concerns to the FX Well Wellness Services team.
Requirements
- Current nationally recognized group fitness certification required; specialty certifications relevant to assigned class formats preferred.
- Current CPR/AED certification required.
- Professional Liability Insurance required, or willingness to obtain coverage before beginning assignments.
- One to two years of group fitness instruction experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safe exercise technique, class design, proper form, and effective modifications.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings, and evenings, as needed.
- Ability to deliver a safe, effective, and fun class experience while developing a strong following with participants.
- Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and commitment to working effectively as part of a team.
- Professional, approachable, high-energy presence and a strong work ethic.
Experience
This position description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by independent contractors in this role. Current certification is required; one to two years of experience teaching group fitness classes is preferred.
