Automotive Sales Consultant
Description

An automotive salesperson is responsible for assisting customers in selecting and purchasing vehicles by understanding their needs, demonstrating car features, and guiding them through financing and purchase options. The role involves generating leads, maintaining strong product knowledge, negotiating prices, and closing sales while delivering a positive customer experience. Success in this position requires strong communication, sales, and customer service skills, along with the ability to meet performance targets in a fast-paced dealership environment. 


Responsibilities:

  • Working with customers to meet their vehicle needs
  • Demonstrating products and sharing product knowledge with customers
  • Communicating with customers through all forms of communication- in person, phone, email
  • Attaining monthly sales quota 
  • Manage leads and maintain accurate records in CRM systems 
  • Follow up with prospects and existing customers to build relationships and drive repeat business 
  • Coordinate with finance teams to finalize paperwork, financing, and add-on product


Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Persuasion and negotiation ability 
  • Basic financial literacy (loans, leases, interest rates) 
  • Customer service orientation 
  • Time management and organization 
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and digital sales tools
  • Valid drivers license
  • Prior sales or customer service experience (automotive preferred but not required)
