Description

This is a working leadership position as an assembly technician in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for building and maintaining stock levels in order to ship a quality product as required by the Production Schedule.

 

Qualifications:

  • The lead assembly technician will be required to assemble units as laid out in design drawings and instructed by production supervisors and group leaders.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable with the use of hand tools, machines and other equipment.
  • The applicant must be detail oriented and have organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent judgement, decision-making and leadership capabilities are required.
  • Knowledge of plant and manufacturing operations is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain material supply and inform supervisor of needed supplies or equipment.
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
  • Good communications skills relative to supervisors and other related departments.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds; push, pull and work with similarly weighted items.
  • Physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, bending, and overhead.
  • Ability to climb and work from scaffolding or a step ladder.
  • Minimal computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) the English language clearly.
Salary Description
