Supervisor: Assistant General Manager

Position Overview: Manage inventory, sales, front facing of Alpine store and staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Retail staff.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide an engaging customer experience through friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service.
- Oversee the daily workflow, inventories, scheduling and assignments of staff and operations.
- Demonstrate and sell merchandise to customers.
- Accurately process cash, credit cards, gift card transactions, and operate a cash register.
- Be familiar with Resort products and services to answer guest questions and provide product recommendations.
- Maintain store’s appearance to keep products neat and organized.
- Correctly inventory, restock, and label merchandise.
- Request re-orders from Supervisor.
- Complete daily opening and closing procedures.
- Perform any of the team job functions in the department.
- Train staff in general sales technique, weekly safety training, and lead by example.
- Schedule, assign tasks, and maintain an efficient and effective staff.
- Work together with all departments to build a positive working environment.
- Physically perform the essential job functions of this position.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform the job and get along with others.
- Show up to work on time, consistent attendance, and dependable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Environmental Factors:
- Face-to-face interactions with the general public and Resort staff.
- Walking, bending, rotating, and standing constantly.
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Repetitive use of hands, arms, shoulders, back, and legs frequently.
- Lifting to waist level up to 50 lbs. frequently, above shoulder lifting and / or carrying of up to 10 lbs. frequently, and carrying of up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
- Sight and hearing of acceptable standards for Essential Job Functions.
- The working environment may be stressful when meeting public demands and staffing needs.
- Continuous interaction with guests.
- Exposure to cold temperatures.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Intermediate knowledge of POS system.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with cash handling.
- Provide product knowledge to the customer.
- Excellent customer services skills in person and by phone.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to relate in a positive manner to guests and co-workers.
- Ability to commit to a five day per week onsite seasonal schedule from October to end of Winter snow season, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work well under pressure, problem solve, and multitask.
- Thorough understanding of company policies and practices.
- Organized and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation.
Education / Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Three years retail management / supervisory experience required.
- Two years experience with POS software required.
- Minimum two years cash handling and customer service experience.
- Background check.
- Valid Washington State Driver License.
