What we do: We provide services to 5 health care systems and more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan.  ARS is the exclusive radiology provider to West Michigan’s largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health.  Corewell provides care to a diverse patient population across a 13-county area.

What we are looking for:  We are currently seeking a full time, partnership track Interventional Radiologist to join our team of 9 in Grand Rapids. You will earn additional compensation for your weekend (11) and call shifts (2-3 per month). This calculates to ~ 115K on top of the existing base salary and incentive programs.  Furthermore, there are opportunities to work additional shifts at per diem rates as desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Dedicated interventional radiology position with very minimal diagnostic radiology responsibilities.
  • The IR practice covers a wide spectrum of inpatient and outpatient interventional procedures, including interventional oncology, vertebral augmentation, TIPS, ablations, trauma embolization, GIB embolization, venous intervention, central venous access including implanted ports, peripheral vascular disease, biopsies, pain management procedures, diagnosis/treatment of vascular malformations, etc.
  • Call schedule is less than most practices and includes body interventional. There is no expectation of neurointerventional such as stroke.

Requirements:

  • Certified by the ABR or AOBR
  • Completion of interventional radiology fellowship or equivalent experience

Why is our IR practice unique? ARS is a 100% physician owned and managed practice and fully committed to remaining independent.  We have an outstanding team of Advanced Practice Providers rounding and performing minor procedures at our hospitals throughout the state.   We have quarterly peer review meetings to support physicians and promote continued learning.  We also have an interventional radiology residency program in Grand Rapids which will allow our physicians the opportunity for teaching and research if desired. We offer residents a broad exposure to all image-guided procedures with exceptional opportunities in oncologic, musculoskeletal, vascular, thromboembolic and palliative/pain intervention.

Compensation/Benefits: We offer a significant recruitment incentive (sign on bonus), competitive compensation plan for shareholders and shareholder track as described above, stipends for on-site shifts, and opportunities for additional shifts on a month to month basis. Our physicians pay $0 for single or family medical/dental/vision coverage and enjoy an $18,000 medical reimbursement account annually.  We also contribute the maximum amount allowed to the 401K plan (IRS maximum $70,000 in 2025).  We offer a 6-week paid parental leave benefit to use in conjunction with 12 weeks of FMLA!
