Maintenance Scheduler & Parts Specialist
Description

Klein Transportation is seeking a full-time Service Scheduler & Parts Specialist. The ideal candidate will maintain a positive attitude, be well organized, have attention to detail, excellent communication skills, is proficient with computers, tablets and common applications and has the ability to quickly learn vehicle maintenance software systems. A CDL with passenger endorsement or the willingness to obtain one is preferred.


The Service Scheduler & Parts Specialist is responsible for maintaining maintenance work productivity through service scheduling, parts inventory control and warranty processing.



Requirements


  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Use our Software System to retrieve required maintenance due list and create work orders.

- Accurately screen categorize and transfer all defects into the system. Create work orders for the defects

- Communication with Shop Foreman and Dispatch to schedule vehicles for service & repairs. Update dispatch regarding any extra time required to perform the tasks assigned to the vehicle.

- Effectively shops for parts/supplies to maintain targeted inventory levels in ways that balance cost and availability and quality. Perform cycle counts and search for discrepancies.

- Look up required parts, pull from inventory, deliver and bill to appropriate work order. Special order parts when necessary to be able to complete the job.

- Maintains a clean, well-stocked parts room.

- Potential to join on-call rotation group for maintenance questions/support.

- Perform other job-related duties in area of responsibility as assigned.

- Help perform smaller repair jobs on the vehicles (lights, wipers, seats, radios, fluids, lavatory supplies) to keep technicians free for larger more time consuming jobs to keep the fleet safe and compliant.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands:

Employee will perform job duties in a manufacturing environment and must be comfortable with daily exposure to noise, dust, and variation in temperature ranging from 60-100 degrees.
- Lift, stack, push or pull boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. Fork Lift certification or willingness to obtain can assist with lifting.
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, twist, and turn while performing parts inventory responsibilities. 

Accountable to Maintenance Manager/President. Communicates with Dispatch & Shop Foreman.
