Mental Health Professional (MHP) / Rehabilitative Services Associate (RSA) - Part Time

Human Support Services, a non-profit community mental health agency located in Monroe County, seeks part-time Mental Health Professionals (MHP) and Rehabilitative Services Associates (RSA).


We are pleased to announce our new increased starting wage $16.50-$21.68 an hour.

Duties:
We are looking for dependable staff to teach daily living skill to adults with Mental Illness in their homes and communities. Successful applicants must be able to:

  • Empower and support individuals to live self-directed lives 
  • Teach independent living skills including but not limited to, cooking, cleaning, hygiene and emergency readiness
  • Promote Health and Wellness, including passing medication
  • Support individuals in building and maintaining healthy friendships and relationships
  • Teach coping skills and provide support to individuals in crisis
  • Help individuals gain access to community resources and participate in community events
  • Maintain accurate, concise, current clinical documentation as required by state and federal guidelines
  • Perform medication monitoring practices (MHP only, not RSA)

Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Have five years experience in this field or a BA degree (MHP required, not required for RSA)
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive a van or willing to be trained
  • Willing to drive in St Louis and the Metro East
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds and walk flights of stairs
  • Present High School diploma or GED
  • Constitution to handle body excrements
  • Must be emotionally stable enough to react appropriately to a individual in crisis
