Description
  • AIRMATIC, Malvern, PA, a Distributor and Manufacturer of tools and equipment for the Industrial and Construction markets, has an immediate opening for a skilled Power Tool Repair Technician in our modern, well equipped, Malvern Service and Assembly Shop. Our Technicians perform mechanical repairs on Customer owned pneumatic and electric tools and equipment; assembly and testing of our private branded equipment such as Motor Starters, Railcar Gate Openers and Concrete Screeds; and perform some mechanical repair/maintenance on our plant equipment.
Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and perform major or minor repair work on pneumatic and electric tools, pumps, controls, valves, and related equipment
  • Prepare work orders, time estimates, and reports detailing repair work performed and parts required in a clear and concise manner
  • Assemble and test repaired equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ manual and specifications
  • Perform repair and maintenance on shop, warehouse, and facility equipment
  • Occasionally assist Customers with technical questions regarding the use and maintenance of tools and equipment purchased
  • Assemble and test Company branded pneumatic and electric tools, equipment and controls

  

APPROPRIATE SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES AND INTERESTS:

  • Considerable knowledge of mechanics, working knowledge of electric circuits, motors, controls, and power transmission products
  • 3 years repairing / maintaining power tools and equipment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Vocational School Degree in a skilled trade is a plus
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License

  • Skilled in the use of the variety of tools, equipment, materials, methods, and procedures used in the repair and assembly of mechanical tools and shop equipment
  • Strong understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the mechanic trade
  • Ability to rapidly move from job to job as priorities and Customer demands dictate

  

HOURS & COMPENSATION:

  • Hours:  8:30 – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday
  • Salary:  $24 – $26 Per Hour
