RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes the assigned inspection on every vehicle.
- Completes work specified on the repair order, and/or under warranty, to manufacturer specifications with efficiency, safely and according to Ford’s quality and time standards.
- Efficiently performs vehicle maintenance and repairs that are needed and approve of by the customer:
- Oil Changes and tire rotations
- Test and replace batteries
- Ford Recalls
- Repair and replace tires
- Serving transmissions, cooling systems and other related maintenance items.
- Collects all necessary information before requesting parts (e.g., model year, etc.).
- Completes proper repair estimates that are accurate and explain the Concern, Cause and Correction (Three C’s).
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customer can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- In form Service Advisor of any delays of competing repairs and reason for delay.
- Road tests vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-year college degree in vehicle maintenance/automotive technology preferred, not required.
- Strong automotive background.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Maintains sufficient personally-owned tools; keeps tools in good working order.
- Promotes dealership by presenting professional image, positive attitude, and clean work area.
- Maintains cleanliness of the customer's vehicle.
- Submits all claims promptly.
- Able to write a repair process as required for Ford Warranty.
- Returns parts for Ford warranty.
- Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check.
