Description
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive curriculum for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
- Facilitate engaging and interactive classroom sessions, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
- Provide clinical instruction, guiding students through hands-on experiences in healthcare settings.
- Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback for growth.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, incorporating current best practices into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to enhance program effectiveness.
- Mentor and support students, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the LPN program through participation in curriculum development and program evaluation.
- Stay informed about regulatory requirements and accreditation standards relevant to nursing education.
- Other duties assigned as necessary
Requirements
- Degree in Nursing. BSN or MSN
- Valid Illinois nursing license.
- Prior teaching experience, preferably in a nursing education setting.
- Strong clinical experience as a nurse, with expertise in LPN practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
- Commitment to maintaining high academic standards and fostering student success.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards for nursing education programs.
