PacAero is looking for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist to join our machining team in Agawam, MA. You’ll operate CNC milling equipment to manufacture high-precision components used in critical aerospace applications, working with tight tolerances and high quality standards.
We’re looking for someone with solid CNC machining experience who takes pride in their work, cares about quality, and wants to keep building their skills. Experience with setups and first-piece inspections is a plus, but we’re also open to strong CNC operators who are ready to grow into more advanced machining responsibilities.

What You’ll Do
As a CNC Machinist, you’ll operate multi-axis CNC milling equipment to produce precision components to print and specification. Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include machine setup, tool changes, offsets, first-piece inspections, in-process inspection and troubleshooting machining issues.
You’ll work closely with other machinists, Quality and Engineering to keep work moving safely and efficiently while maintaining the quality our customers expect.
What We’re Looking For
Experience operating CNC milling equipment is required. Experience with Haas and/or Okuma equipment, machine setups, reading blueprints, using precision measuring equipment and working to tight tolerances is highly valued.

Schedule: Full-time | Second Shift | Onsite in Agawam, MA | Monday–Thursday (4, 10-hour days)
This position is eligible for a second-shift differential in addition to base pay.
As part of a manufacturing environment supporting customer demand, overtime may occasionally be required, including extended shifts or additional days when business needs arise.

- Operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings, specifications and established processes
- Perform machine setups as needed, including tooling changes, fixture installation, offsets and first-piece runs
- Complete first-piece and in-process inspections to verify dimensional and quality requirements
- Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges and other inspection tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and applicable manufacturing documentation
- Make routine adjustments and troubleshoot machining issues within the scope of your experience
- Accurately document production and machining information to support quality, traceability and repeatability
- Work safely around CNC equipment, cutting tools and other shop machinery
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Follow established safety, quality and manufacturing procedures
- Work collaboratively with Machining, Quality and Engineering to resolve issues and keep production moving
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Machine Shop Manager
Experience and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with Haas, Okuma or similar CNC equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Familiarity with precision measuring equipment and dimensional inspection
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Willingness to learn and continue developing machining and setup skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position works in an active manufacturing environment around machining and production equipment. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The role may require standing for extended periods; lifting and moving materials or components weighing up to 40 pounds; using hand tools, cutting tools and precision measuring equipment; working around machine noise and moving equipment; and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Expected Compensation
The anticipated pay range posted for this position represents PacAero (Litron, LLC)’s good-faith estimate of compensation for the role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, internal equity, geographic market data, current market conditions, and the overall compensation and benefits package associated with the position, in accordance with applicable law and Company policy.
