POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Coordinates and communicates to help implement high quality customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Helps to input all necessary information into Daxko as directed by supervisor. (Class Changes, Rosters and Attendance)
2. Membership Sales – is responsible for meeting monthly sales of 30 memberships per month and retention rate of 80%
3. Membership Referrals – is responsible for assisting director in following up on membership referrals and leads
4. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Y USA and branch statistics.
5. 2731Professional Certifications: see below under Qualifications.
6. Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals or directs them to the appropriate staff person.
7. Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA.
8. Follows YMCA of Greater Whittier policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations according to EAP procedure.
9. Empathetically listen and communicate for understanding. Build relationships to create small communities. Build and nurture strategic collaborations within the community.
10. Represents the YMCA of Greater Whittier when participating in community events, as needed.
11. Fingerprints will be taken prior to commencement of employment and results will be submitted to the Association Administration Office.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma.
2. One year related experience preferred.
3. Minimum age requirements of 18.
4. Child Abuse Prevention, Blood Borne Pathogens, WorkForce Link, and CPR, First Aid, AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
5. Criminal Clearance, Health Exam with TB test, Clear Drug Screening

- Informing Supervisor of any rescheduling needs two weeks in advance.
- Physically perform all skills required of a Movement Coordinator.
- Attend monthly scheduled staff meetings.
- Attend annual All Staff Meeting/events.
