Community Services Manager
Help people live the lives they choose. Build independence. Strengthen community. Make a difference every day.
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and mission-driven Community Services Manager to support individuals with developmental disabilities who are living independently in the community.
This role is about more than coordinating services—it is about seeing the individual first, honoring their choices, recognizing their strengths, and helping create opportunities for greater independence and a meaningful life. The Community Services Manager builds trusted relationships, coordinates individualized supports, advocates for needed resources, and helps ensure each person’s goals, rights, health, and safety remain at the center of their services.
Make an Impact
As a Community Services Manager, you will:
- Champion individual choice and independence by supporting people in developing daily living skills, making decisions, building relationships, and pursuing their personal goals.
- Create opportunities for community inclusion by connecting individuals with meaningful activities, resources, employment opportunities, and relationships within their communities.
- Coordinate person-centered services by organizing schedules, participating in Individual Support Agreement (ISA) planning, monitoring progress, and communicating changing needs to the Service Coordinator and interdisciplinary team.
- Be a trusted advocate for individuals and work collaboratively with families, guardians, providers, and community partners to ensure people have access to the services and resources they need.
- Promote health, safety, and stability by supporting medical care, behavioral needs, housing, transportation, benefits, and other essential services.
- Recognize the whole person by paying attention to physical, emotional, social, financial, and residential well-being and responding when additional support is needed.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who believes that every person deserves dignity, respect, choice, and the opportunity to participate fully in their community.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, organized, and comfortable balancing independent work with collaboration. You should bring strong communication and problem-solving skills, sound judgment, professional boundaries, flexibility, and a genuine desire to help others reach their potential.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in an appropriate field plus two to four years of relevant experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities, person-centered services, and community resources.
- Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, email, web navigation, and electronic documentation systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, recognize changes in individual needs, and seek guidance when appropriate.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, adequate personal automobile insurance, and access to a personal vehicle as required.
Preferred: Additional education or experience in developmental disabilities, community-based services, independent living, or person-centered support.
