Director of Accounting

Summary

Reporting directly to the CFO, the DOA is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting function, including timely and accurate reporting of all financial reports and statements with supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP and DiMarco Group accounting policies. The individual will be charged with directing and controlling all general accounting, accounts payables, account receivables, payroll and will oversee DiMarco Group internal controls framework. The DOA will be the Lead Person for the DiMarco Group's Accounting Software (MRI), day to day operations and closing the books in an efficient manner.  Also, plan, organizes, and monitors the financial affairs of the accounting, including direct interface with external auditors and fosters financial leadership, efficiency, systemization, and discipline throughout the finance, accounting department.


Responsibilities:

  •  Overseeing accounting, including the preparation of financial statements and budgets for DiMarco Group/Shared Services.
  •  Managing cash flow and ensuring effective cash management practices for DiMarco Group.
  •  Developing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard the investor assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  •  Guiding financial decisions, assessing financial risks, and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
  •  Participating in the development of forecasts and budgets.
  •  Managing relationships with financial institutions and other key investors.
  •  Leading and developing a senior accountant.
  •  Contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization by providing financial leadership and strategic insights.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  •  A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. An MBA or CPA preferred.
  •  Extensive experience in accounting, financial management, and leadership roles. This may include prior experience as a controller, senior financial analyst, finance manager, or similar positions.
  •  Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with peers and senior management.
  •  Experience in managing and developing a team, providing leadership and guidance to finance professionals.
  •  Proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (MRI preferred) systems.
  •  Proven track record of managing financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management in a corporate or similar setting.
  •  Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic business environment.
  •  A commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and integrity in financial management practices. 



Salary Description
