Description
SelecTransportation Resources seeks motivated and skilled individuals to join our team as a Part-Time Diesel Mechanic Extern to learn and understand diesel engines and equipment operation and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior diesel mechanics with a variety of tasks, including:
- Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections
- Replacing parts and components
- Using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Perform other tasks as assigned by service managers, including:
- Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining all store and shop areas
- Assisting with parts inventory management
- General shop maintenance
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of diesel engine operation and maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- US Citizen
- State issued ID
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
