Maintenance Assistant II
Description

Majority of work performed at the detention center and other county buildings as needed.


Maintains, installs, and repairs physical structures and mechanics of buildings by performing the following duties:

  • Completes preventative maintenance, documentation, procedures, visual inspections, and troubleshoots as needed
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
  • Repairs and maintains physical structures or reviews work of contractors performing work
  • Identify problems with mechanical systems and recommend solutions to resolve 
  • Keep sidewalks clear of debris, snow, and ice


Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

  • Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office and work orders program

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver's license


Salary Description
up to $25/hr
