Armstrong Transport Group, LLC, is a third-party logistics provider headquartered in Charlotte, NC. We were founded in 2006 in a bonus room (the South's version of a basement), and have experienced exponential growth-- increasing our headcount by more than 60% since January 2021. Our premier nationwide network of independent agents work at 125 locations around the country. We match our customers’ needs with the variety of services we provide. From LTL to full truckload, international, intermodal (and everything in between) there is no project to big or too small for Armstrong to handle. Today, we have over 150 agent offices and 1000 logistics professionals working around the country. Our customers, carriers, and agents are supported by a team of over 100 corporate employees.


We are seeking a Capacity Sales Representative to support our Sales team. This individual will be

responsible for providing assistance through maintaining developed business relationships.


Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with customers, agents and other team members
  • Research load information
  • Report client requests
  • Ensure shipping carrier requirements and regulations are met
  • Negotiate price and cost of carrier services
  • Update service-level reports and provide analysis on results
  • Escalate ongoing performance issues to Carrier Relations Manager
  • Negotiating rates and schedules, working together to implement time and cost-saving innovations
  • Provide technology and data to carriers to ensure all parties are connected
  • Work hand in hand with carriers to provide outstanding service to customers.
Requirements
  • Ability to build strong inter-professional relationships
  • Experience working with carriers and operational knowledge in telecommunications
  • Experience in analyzing data and communicating information to the appropriate party
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple projects and issues at the same time in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a Carrier Sales role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
