POSITION SUMMARY:
 

The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for the daily management of clinical operations which includes, but is not limited to, direct supervision specialty clinical support staff (Medical Assistants, Licensed Nursing Assistants, etc.)  oversight of clinical workflows and procedure scheduling performance, customer relations, quality, and patient care outcomes.
 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations, the clinical guidance of the providers, and within established policies and procedures, the Clinical Nurse Manager performs the following essential functions:

Requirements

  

  • Recruits, retains, and develops clinical support and  procedure scheduling staff 
  • Set clinical support and procedure scheduling staff expectations in alignment with organizational goals and manage staff to these expectations through annual reviews and performance management
  • Participates in establishing and monitoring annual clinical support and procedure scheduling productivity, quality, financial goals, and staffing levels
  • Manages clinical support and workflow processes including triage, specialty medications injections, nurse visits, and procedure prep education. Delegate as needed.
  • Responsible for customer relations and customer service initiatives
  • Acts as a conduit between department and organization leadership providing accurate communication of  information to staff and leadership
  • Leads interdepartmental teams
  • Participates in and supports departmental and organizational change
  • Ensures compliance with State, Local, Federal regulatory requirements
  •  Assures the proper functioning of clinical equipment
  • Talks with, listens to patients/team members; Reports pertinent, concise information; complete, timely charting; computer charting/ordering; protects confidentiality of patient/colleagues. 
  • Organizes workload; prioritizes tasks/work, seeks assistance, collects/integrates data from multiple sources, organizes job tasks or delivers care for multiple tasks or patients, per scope of position. 
  • Applies scope of practice in assignment of duties
  • Ensures high quality communication between procedure schedulers and clinical staff with outside facilities and other provider offices. 
  • Ensures telephone etiquette, customer service, attendance, punctuality, conduct, inter/intra departmental relations, confidentiality, and patient/provider rights.


 Experience:  

  • 2-3 years of Nursing Management in a physician practice setting preferred
  • Strong focus on patient satisfaction and quality care
  • Proficiency in using an Electronic Medical Record- Athena Expereince a plus.

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field, master’s q degree preferred

Licensure / Certification:

· Licensure required: Current Registered Nurse license in the State of NH
