Coaching Responsibilities
- Coach tumbling and stunting classes, based on credentialed skill level
- Create and implement lesson plans that focus on skill development and progression
- Must be able to effectively teach athletes the fundamentals and techniques of the sport
- Provide feedback and guidance to athletes to help them improve their technique and form
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all athletes
- Regularly evaluate athletes on their progress of skills
- After class, speak to each parent about their athlete(s) and what they accomplished in class. Take the opportunity to see if the parents have questions
Administrative/Interpersonal Responsibilities
- Take attendance and upload into Sports Engine during every class
- Document every athletes’ progress in their skill trees in Sports Engine regularly
- Check your Band channels daily
- Respond to Band messages and emails ASAP (Staff, parent, etc)
- Attend staff develop meetings, clinics and other professional activities to improve coaching performance. Meetings may be in person or via Zoom.
- If an athlete is injured during class, Coach must reach out to parents and complete an Injury Tiffani. ALL injuries MUST be reported.
Professionalism/Teamwork
- Maintain professional coaching attire in the gym (CA shirts)
- Maintain professional conduct in and outside of the gym
- Follow CA and USASF, Sports Compliance standards and guidelines
- Complete appropriate credentialing
- You are responsible for finding your sub if you cannot work
- Promote and market your teams and programs within the gym
- Take pride in the facility and do your part to keep it clean. Coaches must replace all equipment used during practices
- Be on the gym floor 15 minutes prior to your scheduled shift, clocked in and ready to work
