Position Summary
We are seeking a strong, hands-on leader to oversee the daily operations of a residential program supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. The Residence Manager will be responsible for driving a high standard of care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team to deliver person-centered services in alignment with OPWDD guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision, leadership, and accountability for residential staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
- Ensure a consistently safe, structured, and supportive environment for all residents
- Partner with the interdisciplinary team to implement and monitor individualized service plans
- Oversee all aspects of residence operations, including staffing, maintenance, and household management
- Respond effectively to crises, incidents, and behavioral challenges, utilizing approved OPWDD strategies
- Maintain full compliance with OPWDD regulations, agency policies, and quality standards
- Coordinate medical care and ensure follow-through on all health-related needs
- Ensure timely, accurate documentation and reporting
- Promote resident independence through active engagement in daily living activities and community integration
- Manage inventory, supplies, and overall household functionality
- Maintains petty cash records and records all purchases
- Performs related duties as requested

Qualifications
- Required: Demonstrated experience working within OPWDD regulations and residential settings
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in human services
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Valid New York State Driver’s License in good standing
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be able to maintain the strictest confidentiality
- Good interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with coworkers, employees, residents and their families.
- All Residence Managers must be approved Medication Administration Personnel (AMAP) at time of hire or will be completely trained and certified by the agency within the first six months of employment.
