Gateway Rehab has an outstanding opportunity for a remote Telehealth Therapist 3 who is responsible for providing substance use treatment and case management services for assigned patients. This is a remote position, however, you must live in the US or a US territory and "licensed" in PA and Ohio. This position receives regular supervision and instruction.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes and promotes trauma-informed treatment through the provision of evidence-based practices.
- Participates in developing the patient’s treatment plan and outcomes in cooperation with the treatment team.
- Provides direct therapeutic services consisting of individual, group, and/or family therapy dependent on the patient's needs.
- Makes ongoing assessments regarding the patient’s progress in treatment and revises the treatment plan according to patient needs.
- Completes clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Establishes and maintains contact and relationships with referral sources related to patient caseload.
- Plans for continuing care of patient and makes appropriate referrals.
- Monitors and completes insurance authorizations for patient caseload.
- Provides referrals for additional care or services when required
- Achieves and maintains expected productivity of 50% on an ongoing basis.
- Participates in regular supervision with the manager and seeks out additional supervision as needed.
- Adheres to all applicable provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
- Adheres to the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), Department of Public Welfare (DPW), and Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) regulations.
- Completes mandatory orientation and annual training programs; completes applicable attendance documentation.
- Provides coverage for other programs as needed.
- Performs other similar and related duties as necessary and/or as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and other professionals.
- Understands the nature of addiction, including its psychological, physiological, and social aspects.
- Ability to conduct thorough assessments to diagnose substance use disorders and/or co-occurring conditions.
- Ability to provide individual and/or group therapy to help patients understand their addiction and develop coping strategies.
- Skilled at analyzing complex situations and making sound decisions regarding treatment and intervention strategies.
- Has the capacity to manage personal stress and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
- Ability to uphold strict confidentiality to protect patients’ privacy.
Requirements
- Masters’ Degree with 5 years' experience in a clinical or behavioral health environment
- Licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
- 2 plus years’ experience as a Telehealth Therapist.
- Active license in the state of PA and Ohio.
- Experience in an outpatient setting with dual diagnosis and SUD patients.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience working with health care professionals, i.e Nurses, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Techs, and Physician Assistants.
