Midwest Wellness Institute (MWI) is an outpatient multidisciplinary group practice with office locations in Des Moines and Ames. We provide general psychotherapy and psychological testing services, medication management services, interventional psychiatric services such as Spravato and TMS, and Substance Abuse/Addiction Services in conjunction with MAT services.
We are an experienced multi-disciplinary team dedicated to serving the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and adults throughout the Midwest. What does your day-to-day look like?
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders with the utmost compassion, integrity, and commitment to excellence.
- Establish a positive and trusting rapport with clients.
- Create and update individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstances.
- Make recommendations/referrals to specialists as necessary.
- Maintain thorough notes of client interactions and adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
- Accept a variety of insurance.
- Attend team meetings and clinical consultative meetings.
- Work with a variety of clients including individuals, couples, families, and groups within your skill set and scope of practice.
- Must be a fully licensed mental health therapist in Iowa
- LISW, LMHC, LMFT
- Must maintain knowledge of the latest treatment modalities and Evidenced-Based Models.
- Must take initiative, demonstrate sound judgment, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization & time management skills.
