Description

Project Sales, or A Project Development Representative is responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close of project. Working with the Sales Manager, within an assigned territory, they will develop and implement a Sales Plan which meets both their personal goals and the goals of the business to expand the company's customer base. The rep works with the sales and support teams to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and to ensure long-term account goals remain in line with company's vision and values.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, IES is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is  $125,000 - $200,000+ / year. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills sets, experience and training, licensures and certifications, education, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Requirements
  • Responsible for the sales of Design Build, Plan Spec and Design Assist project sales to Contractors and Building Owner Reps.
  • Identify Centers of Influence (COI) and build an effective network through industry associations.
  • Develop a database of qualified customers through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on General Contractors, Architects, Hospitals, Business Owners, using direct mail, email, and via networking.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities in the Company's CRM.
  • Posses an understanding of construction methods and estimating principals.
  • Demonstrate the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.
  • Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions IES offers to their customers.
  • Utilize technical selling skills, product knowledge, pricing and proposal models.
  • Gather and submit detailed business information for pricing and presentation of solutions.
  • Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify the prospect’s business problems, the effects of the problems, and the IES solutions to their problems.
  • Work closely with pre-construction department staff to finalize estimates and bids.
  • Assist Preventative Maintenance Sales representatives in closing agreements related to said construction projects.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are launched and kicked off properly.
  • Work closely with Project Manager on RFI’s and change orders when necessary.
Salary Description
$125,000 - $200,000+ / year
