Summary:

Improve inventory accuracy through cycle counting and transaction analysis. Performs reviews and works with inventory movement and processes to identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with established inventory control practices. The Inventory Analyst works within the Warehouse Management System to perform inventory analysis. Influence other team members towards process compliance. Participate in kaizen or other process improvement activities. Autonomous work often required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train Operations Associates in various processes related to inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the inventory counting team to perform cycle counts on a continuing basis and reconciles identified discrepancies.
  • Work in Körber/Edge software to verify inventory quantities and matches the inventory by location. Investigate inventory      inaccuracies to identify root cause. Perform supply quantity adjustments when necessary.
  • Compare purchase orders  to received materials from suppliers for accuracy.
  • Learn and implement   lean material management practices; including pull, capacity constraints,  flow, KanBan and visual management to achieve increased performance and efficiencies.
  • Recognize process   issues and potential improvement opportunities. Work with kaizen  methodology and leadership team to improve processes. Devise solutions to  process issues or bottlenecks. Work hand-in-hand with supervisors and managers to implement those solutions.
  • Communicate proactively with the Inventory Manager regarding any and all inventory issues.
  • Knowledge of receiving process and the Körber/Edge system to gather accurate information and records.
  • Display positive leadership by example and personal performance. Act as informal supervisor  through consistent on-the-job training of other team members and sharing  of process knowledge.
  • Work with product line management and accounting for new product roll-out/arrival into inventory  system.
  • Have the ability to  pick, pack, and manifest in time not conducting inventory tasks.
  • Participate and lead data pulls for ABC analysis & slotting efforts to maximize picking  strategies.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse design & workflow for product presentation to picking operations  

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or  G.E.D. required
  • College Associates degree or Undergraduate degree preferred
  • 2-4 years warehouse  inventory experience preferred

  • Knowledge of inventory transactions such as Bin 2 Bin, Transfer, and Inventory adjustments

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and data furnished in written, oral, diagram or virtual on-line classroom. Must be a self-starter and able to perform tasks without direct supervision. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality. Maintains strict confidentiality at all times.
