Description
- Ability to read and interpret complex documents, such as regulatory agreements and compliance regulations, including tenant files, etc.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, self-Motivated and ability to prioritize tasks and projects with limited direction
- Participate, monitor and improve housing compliance through software ad internal procedures
- Assist with completing Monthly/Annual/Quarterly Reports for City/State Supervisory Agencies, HUD, and Tax Credit Syndicators
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with site staff and property supervisor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Assist with quarterly training
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, and Team
- Requires interaction with corporate management and business managers to ensure a collaborative effective communication regarding the performance of on-site management
- The position requires travel to properties
- Requires mathematical skills
- Must have the ability to use basic mathematical and analytical skills
- Respond to compliance related questions
- Reviewed files, in preparation of audits and annual reports, which includes move-ins and recertifications
- Review of move-out and rejection files
- Review of site-base waiting list
- Review of Tenant Selection Plans
- Review of Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plans
- Assist in monitoring status of all certifications
- Must be comfortable working with both a team and independently
- Assist in Ensuring compliance with all Dorchester Management II policies and procedures and
- Remain current on field by attending classes, reading publications, talking with peers, and joining professional groups
- Experience managing sensitive and confidential information and materials
- Assist with conducting regular audits to identify potential weaknesses and noncompliance situations
- Will perform other related duties as required
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or a closely related field from an accredited college or university and/or 4 years of professional experience, which includes supervisory or team leader.
Applicable knowledge of Tax Credit, Section 8 and Local Housing Authority regulations, policies, and procedures
Excellent follow-up skills via telephone and email correspondence
