The Machine Builder will perform all mechanical tasks in the sub-assembly, system level assembly, debug, teardown and install efforts of complex automated systems. The Machine Builder will understand and practice Calvary Standard Build Processes. The builder will work cross-functionally to maintain quality, schedule and budget on all projects
- Assemble mechanical components (sub-assembly and system assembly)
- Read, interpret and review blueprints and models
- Prioritize assembly tasks to maintain daily and overall schedules
- Perform basic machining tasks in support of project build. E.g. Grinding, milling etc.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
-Take control, forward planning; make sure you have everything you need ahead of time.
- Perform rigging and shipping tasks to include planning
- Work to daily and overall milestones to ensure project schedules and budgets are met
- Take ownership and accountability for all efforts
- Participate, cross-functionally, in the planning and execution of all project tasks
- Maintain, update and communicate all relevant documentation
- Ability and professionalism to interact directly with internal and external customers
- Willingness to work overtime to include weekends as needed
- Willingness to travel (Domestic and international)
- Other duties as assigned
- 2 years of mechanical assembly experience
- Experience in building automated systems preferred
- Expertise in the use of hand tools and basic machining
- Ability and experience in reading blueprints and interpreting model
- Experience using measuring equipment (tape, micrometers, etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively with project teams
The hourly rate for this role is $26.00 -$32.00 an hour; however, Calvary Robotics considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
