Responsibilities
- Diagnostics: Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete repairs.
- Repairs: Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls.
- Product Lines: Must be comfortable working on all boat systems; Hamilton water jets, Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Caterpillar, or FPT engines.
- Safety Compliance: Performing all work to safety standards and guidelines.
- Other: All duties as assigned.
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience in marine mechanics or related fields.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
- Certifications: ABYC certification (preferred). Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Pre-Employment: All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with diagnostic software, hand and power tools.
- Experience installing marine mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of onboard plumbing systems, hydraulic system installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Ability to write condition reports, prepare estimates, and plan projects.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
