About Allied OMS

Allied OMS is a doctor-owned, doctor-led, and doctor-governed management services organization (MSO) in the oral and maxillofacial surgery space that combines the best of private practice with the best of private equity.

Leveraging decades of experience building platform businesses in the healthcare industry and collectively owned by member surgeons, private equity, and management consulting veterans, Allied OMS offers essential tools for maximizing practice value.

Grounded in clinical excellence, doctors in the Allied OMS network maintain essential roles in management, governance, and clinical practice and participate directly in the platform's growth. Seventy-five percent of the Allied OMS board of directors are doctor members, and Allied OMS doctors lead 100% of the platform's management committees.

Founded in 2020 in partnership with DuneGlass Capital, a healthcare services-focused independent sponsor, the Allied OMS network now includes 75 doctors serving patients from 58 locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

Requirements

The Role

As a Regional HR Generalist, you will serve as the strategic and operational HR partner for an assigned region — owning the full HR life-cycle and employee experience across multiple locations. You will be responsible for driving HR excellence, ensuring compliance, supporting practice growth (including acquisitions), and influencing leadership to maximize the effectiveness of our human capital. You will have “book-of-business” accountability: you will act as the go-to HR expert in your region, building strong relationships, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and advancing our culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the onboarding experience for new-hire employees and support the smooth integration of newly acquired practices.
  • Oversee completion of new-hire paperwork, I-9 audits, and ongoing compliance in your region.
  • Support payroll processing (including ad-hoc termination payrolls) in partnership with HR operations.
  • Lead investigations and employee relations matters from intake through resolution; partner closely with the VP HR and outside counsel as needed.
  • Coach and advise local leadership on employment law, performance management, disciplinary action, and change-management initiatives.
  • Provide recruiting support (sourcing, screening, candidate experience) for practice-level hires in your region.
  • Monitor PTO balances, leave of absence, and other policy compliance metrics; recommend improvements.
  • Analyze HR and people data (turnover, engagement, compensation trends, talent pipeline) and present findings to regional leadership with action-oriented recommendations.
  • Maintain and file required regulatory records: EEO-1, OSHA 300A, workers’ compensation audits.
  • Provide weekly status updates to the VP of HR.
  • Lead or contribute to HR-projects — e.g., program rollout, acquisition integration, engagement survey follow-up — that support our strategy of growth, alignment, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of multi-state HR experience, with at least 4 years in employee relations.
  • Demonstrated experience in a growth environment (acquisitions/de novos) strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems (experience with Paylocity is a plus) and strong Excel/analytics capability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills—with the ability to influence and gain buy-in from senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive matters.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working with minimal direct supervision in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • “Book of business” mentality: you’ll own your region, drive outcomes, and hold yourself accountable for HR deliverables end-to-end.
  • Ability to travel within your region (20-30%) and support teams across multiple time zones as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) strongly preferred. Multi-state HR, compliance, and healthcare industry experience is a plus.

Why This Role Matters

You will be a pivotal leader in scaling our human capital function and enabling our doctor-owners and practice teams to operate at their highest level. By partnering with practice administrators and leaders, providing strategic HR counsel, and driving people data insights, you’ll directly contribute to our margin performance, talent retention, culture, and the successful integration of new practices.

Joining Allied OMS means you’ll be part of a dynamic, high-growth organization where HR is a strategic business partner—not a transactional function—and where your contributions help shape the future of our platform.

Allied OMS offers a competitive salary and benefits. The candidate must be able to work in the United States legally; we cannot provide sponsorship. Allied OMS is a proud equal-opportunity employer.
