Description
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and provide appropriate counseling to patients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Review and interpret prescription orders to verify accuracy and appropriateness
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories and interactions
- Oversee and manage the pharmacy's inventory, ordering and restocking medications as needed
- Provide information and guidance to customers regarding over-the-counter medications and health-related products
- Monitor patient health and progress to identify any potential issues or complications
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and medication-related questions
- Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote patient wellness and disease prevention
Requirements
- Licensed Pharmacist with a valid state license
- Proven experience as a Retail Pharmacist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, dosage forms, and drug interactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
- Knowledge of pharmacy software and technology
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and privacy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Continuing education to stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements and industry trends
Salary Description
$55-65/hour
