This is a seasonal position from May - September.
You will serve on a team whose job is to help Shelter Cove Marina engage with all guests to create a memorable experience. You will contribute to the success of the Marina by providing outstanding customer service to all guests we encounter. By supporting our company's Noble Purpose, your top priority will be to care about our guests, and the impact we make on their lives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- You will help live out our company's Noble Purpose by providing outstanding customer service to all guests.
- When interacting with each guest, leave them with a "WOW" story to tell about their experience.
- Share customer impact stories with your team in meetings and with management.
- Accurately operate cash register including all cash and credit transactions
- Keep professional attitude and appearance, striving for complete customer satisfaction
- Answer phones using courteous, professional tones, make and enter charter reservations into system accordingly, notify captains of trips.
- Have working product knowledge including charter and rental programs, apparel, and equipment
- Maximize every sales opportunity by cross selling profitable products
- Assist in rentals from Marina (fishing rods etc.)
- Ensure inventory levels are adequate and stock merchandise as needed
- Keep stock rooms neat and orderly according to standards
- Maintain continuous inspection of shops for orderliness and neatness
- Conduct internal audit of retail inventories.

- Maintain an even level of performance
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
- Previous retail and cash handling experience a plus
- Basic understanding of boats or boating a plus
- Must demonstrate ability to communicate clearly with customers while maintaining a professional appearance
- Must demonstrate willingness to perform duties
- Must have Afternoon/Evening availability
SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Should be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Long hours of standing
