Hydraulic Assembly Technician (Hydraulic Mechanic) 2nd Shift

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use aerospace drawings, parts lists, and other engineering documents to assemble hydraulic components and parts.
  • Install various components per specifications
  • Perform electrical bonding procedures
  • Install safety devices (cotter pins, rivets & lock wire)
  • Perform general sealing procedures 
  • Apply torque seal & part marking
  • Effectively use the Boeing (BACs & drawings) portal & Reference Engineering Data Automated Retrieval System (REDARS).
  • Maintain 6S and lean manufacturing best practices.
  • Meet safety and quality system requirements by the following established procedures.
  • Process work within performance and delivery requirements:
  • Meet established productivity standards.
  • Follow job priority requirements 
  • Communicate production delays and problems to appropriate supervision.
  • Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to document work movement.
  • Other assigned duties, tasks, or continuous improvements

Skills:

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, i.e. blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to use calipers, torque wrenches & various hand tools.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware and software; Epicor and Microsoft experience desired.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.
  • Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.


Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude, with relevant assembly experience a plus.
  • Ability to become certified per Orion standards for hydraulic build assembly.
  • Ability to retain knowledge from on-the-job training
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Willingness to assist with training others

Wage Range:

The pay range for this role considers several factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, education, and other business needs. There is a 7.5% pay differential for this position.
