Are you passionate about water safety and helping others? The Greater Burlington YMCA is seeking Lifeguards to provide a safe and welcoming aquatic environment for all members. As a Lifeguard, you’ll play a critical role in preventing accidents, ensuring safety, and responding to emergencies on the pool deck.

What You'll Do:
- Monitor pool areas to ensure a safe swimming environment.
- Enforce safety policies and respond swiftly to emergencies.
- Perform rescues, first aid, and CPR as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
- Engage with members, providing a welcoming and helpful presence.
- Attend trainings and maintain certification to stay rescue ready.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be at least 15 years old (subject to state and local restrictions).
- Current Lifeguard Certification.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stay alert, respond quickly, and perform water rescues.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Physically perform all skills required of a lifeguard.
- Ability to stand, walk, swim, and perform rescues as needed.
- Remain alert and attentive at all times.
- Hear, see, and communicate clearly in a pool environment.
- Lift and move up to 50 lbs. as necessary.
Salary Description
$15.00-$18.25 / Hour
