Position Data:

Immediate Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor


Basic Function or Position Summary:

Keeps premises of office building, apartment house, or other commercial or institutional building in clean and orderly condition. Pay Rate is $16.00/ hour

up to 27.5 hours/weekly  

Temporary as needed position

Requirements

Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties:

  • Performs pick-up and deliveries as required by Maintenance Manager
  • Performs ground maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Performs general grounds keeping and landscaping 
  • Has some basic ability to trouble shoot while on the jobsite and notifies Maintenance Manager of job requirements
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Cuts and trims grass, and shovels snow.
  • Completes B&G work orders as assigned
  • Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
  • Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall. 
  • Promotes agency mission
  • Maintains confidentiality and complies with the code of ethics.
  • Maintains consistent professional customer service. 
  • Job performance incorporates integrated service delivery model while promoting self sufficiency.  
  • Other duties as designated by supervisor.

A. Internal: Building Staff, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Staff, and COI staff

B. External: Suppliers, Customers


Supervisory Scope:

  •  None


Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to all policies and procedures.
  • Gathers appropriate documentation and tracks outcomes.
  • Participates in organizational committee structures as appropriate.
  • Participates in organizational and divisional management systems.

Knowledge, Skills Required:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Basic skill level in grounds maintenance and general maintenance required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good team building skill

Physical:

 * Exerts heavy force in excess of 50 pounds


Special Requirements:

  • Must be able to provide consistent even tempered customer service at all times
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Authorized driver of a COI vehicle.
  • Ability to travel throughout the county
  • Pre employment drug and alcohol testing required, subject to random drug and alcohol testing for cause.
  • Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, bend and kneel
  • Works compassionately with a diverse population.
