Description
As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. You will work with a wide range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs, performing various mechanical and electrical repairs. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for automotive maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair and replace worn-out or faulty parts and components, such as brake systems, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems or issues.
- Provide accurate estimates for repairs and communicate with Service Advisors about the necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Master our Dealer Management System (Reynolds) for work distribution, electronic inspections, repair quotes and communication.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or formal training in automotive technology.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and computer diagnostics.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

- Read manufacturer's drawings and manuals
- Basic computer and internet literacy
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
- Keep shop equipment operating (maintain, troubleshoot, repair, etc.)
- Drive manual transmission vehicles
- Use computer diagnostic equipment
