Technician
Description

As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. You will work with a wide range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs, performing various mechanical and electrical repairs. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for automotive maintenance.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Repair and replace worn-out or faulty parts and components, such as brake systems, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems or issues.
  • Provide accurate estimates for repairs and communicate with Service Advisors about the necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
  • Master our Dealer Management System (Reynolds) for work distribution, electronic inspections, repair quotes and communication.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification or formal training in automotive technology.
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and computer diagnostics.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

  • Read manufacturer's drawings and manuals
  • Basic computer and internet literacy
  • Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
  • Keep shop equipment operating (maintain, troubleshoot, repair, etc.)
  • Drive manual transmission vehicles
  • Use computer diagnostic equipment
