MDaudit Enterprise, our flagship revenue integrity software platform, enables organizations to reduce compliance risk, risk monitoring, and built-in analytics and benchmarking capabilities while maximizing revenue – all in a single, integrated cloud-based platform. We are currently seeking a Vice President of Data Analytics to join our team. Ideally someone who lives in East or Mid-West U.S. (eastern or central time zone). We are a completely remote company! 

The Vice President of Data Analytics plans and directs all aspects of MDaudit’ s data management, data products and data governance objectives and initiatives. Oversee technical development of new data products, scalable ETL processes and data governance procedures. This includes development of an enterprise data strategy and managing the execution of the roadmap initiatives with the timely deployment of multiple releases, managing onshore, 3rd party and offshore resources, and budget. Stays ahead of AI (agentic architecture) and Analytics trends within healthcare and ensures that all products meet the strategic goals of the organization. This individual directs staff to ensure that project timelines, project deliverables, and company goals are accomplished. This individual will collaborate with MDaudit teams in Engineering, Product, Customer Experience and Security on establishing a solid common data architecture layer that can be harnessed cross-functionally.  

 MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Set quarterly OKR’s (objective and key results) in support of company-wide objectives for the data team and ensure those goals are met in a timely manner
• Establish and drives a team culture that demands a high degree of accountability, values innovation, fosters team collaboration and performance
• Mentors other team members on AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud architecture, AI, Analytics, security, and technical design best practices
• Exhibits high commitment to team and product objectives with a focus on quality
• Responsible for resource estimation, assigning responsibility to all team members, and monitoring and adjusting resource assignments as needed to achieve product goals.
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring and on boarding new team members, offshore resources and contractors
• Continuous management of employee objectives and goals with ongoing feedback and performance appraisal on a quarterly and annual basis 
• Responsible for annual budgeting of the Data team including onshore and offshore resource cost estimation, monitoring and control
• Performs project management functions such as leading periodic status meetings, recording and resolving issues, and communicating with management regarding progress
• Manage 3rd party vendor relationships and contracts that drives value to MDaudit
• Ensure compliance with industry data regulations such as HIPAA, Reproductive data privacy etc. and security requirements
• Attend appropriate industry group events and other industry events, deliver presentations and direct staff to attend and deliver presentations, industry write articles, etc.
• Manage multiple, complex projects with high quality results

Specific functional responsibilities: Data Management

• Lead a team of data management resources responsible for scalable data integration and ETL processes of customer data (EDI and non-EDI files, EMR integration etc.)
• Provide technology leadership to optimize and redesign data management processes for scale using modern technology and ETL tools
• Deliver automation for data engineering teams to enable rapid revenue recognition goals by onboarding customer data into the MDaudit platform
• Provides guidance to ensure high-quality testing of data ingestion tools

Data Engineering 

• Develop the data engineering strategy for data-as-a-service and insights-as-a-service initiatives within MDaudit
• Leads the team to deliver against data product plans and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency
• Work closely with the Security team to ensure all security certifications and protocols are met in a timely manner for data management
• Collaborates closely with Product Management and Engineering to ensure business requirements are fully understood by the data engineering team for software development and testing purposes for insights-as-a-service initiative
• Oversee a team of onshore and offshore members including software requirements, design, coding, and verification testing

Data Governance

• Implement operational data governance to secure data assets federated across multiple sources like SQL server, Snowflake and AWS
• Manage data stewards responsible for metadata management for various data assets across the MDaudit enterprise
• Work closely with the Security team to enable various certification initiatives (HITRUST, HITECH, TX-RAMP) and Penetration tests
• Lead the establishment of a company-wide data governance committee with cross functional stakeholders for a quarterly cadence.

APPLICATION/SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

• 10+ years of experience with development of data products and strategy in a healthcare provider, payer or life sciences industry.
• Technical expertise and design, implementation and administration of large database and analytics systems on the Cloud (MS SQL server, Snowflake)
• 5+ years of engineering experience in native AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud, .NET and SQL server technologies
• 5+ years of experience with the technical design and management of enterprise scale SaaS platform.
• 5+ years of cloud and engineering experience with AI and ML services in AWS and Snowflake
• Experience with data modeling techniques like star schema, E-R modeling and API data models

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 10+ years hands-on leader with strong technology management experience with global delivery teams

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

• 10+ years’ experience in working with healthcare compliance and revenue integrity systems

• Management of onshore and offshore resources
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent required, Master’s degree preferred
