Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at our outpatient surgical center. The Charge Nurse will be responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing daily operations within the surgical unit. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure efficient patient care delivery.

- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices in patient care.

- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care.

- Participate in staff training and development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Manage inventory and supplies to ensure the surgical center is adequately stocked and prepared for procedures.

- Manage schedules

Requirements

 

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or charge nurse role.

- Experience in an outpatient surgical setting is highly desirable.

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
