As an Industrial Maintenance Retail Technician at Lewis Environmental, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of environmental services, including industrial cleaning and maintenance, while ensuring safety and quality are at the forefront of your work. You will follow the direction of the Field Supervisor and contribute to both planned and emergency services across multiple service lines. The position is an overnight shift and sometimes requires travel. A strong commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Assignment Execution: Follow the direction of the Field Supervisor to perform environmental services contracting in line with project specifications.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all company safety rules, OSHA regulations, and attend required safety training to ensure a safe working environment.
- Industrial Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform a wide variety of industrial cleaning tasks and other maintenance services to meet company and client policies, focusing on safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Materials Handling: Comply with regulations for handling both hazardous and non-hazardous materials in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- Additional Responsibilities: Other tasks may be assigned based on the needs of the company and your qualifications, which will be discussed further during the interview process.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the Field Supervisor and other team members to ensure successful project execution and alignment with company goals.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in industrial maintenance, environmental contracting, or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Licensing: A valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) is required.
- Background: Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
- Availability: Must be flexible with personal scheduling, including being available for limited on-call duties when needed.
- Safety Commitment: Strong focus on maintaining a safe work environment and upholding safety standards.
- Training: 40-hour OSHA training and other related safety certifications are a plus but will be provided if necessary.
- DOT Examiner’s Certificate: Required and provided as part of pre-employment testing. Drug screen is inclusive of marijuana per Federal requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform manual labor tasks regularly.
- Ability to work in severe weather conditions, including both hot and cold environments.
- Comfort with working in confined spaces and wearing a respirator when required.
- Willingness to work and travel in inclement weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (50-70% of the time) and exert physical effort as required.
- Able to tolerate moderate noise levels in a work environment.
