Starting Salary Range: $60,907 - $79,179 annually ($31.24 - $40.61 per hour), Plus Benefits

The Position:

We are seeking to fill the position of Resident Service Coordinator that supports families and adult residents living in an Everett Housing Authority community.  The work this person does is vital and will have a substantial impact on resident housing stability and their ability to thrive. The ideal candidate will care deeply about our mission and our residents and will be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills, strong organizational capabilities, and exercise innovative approaches to problem solving. 


We are looking for a person with an upbeat personality, a human services background, a collaboration mindset, and comfortable working with a diverse variety of cultures and viewpoints.   The Resident Service Coordinator will assist their community by guiding residents towards appropriate services and resources that foster health and well-being, education, employment, and economic stability.  They will be responsible to plan and organize programs and activities such as health fairs, educational and social programs, and activities to promote a sense of community.  Duties also include assisting residents with individual needs and working with the management team to maintain a quality standard of living.  This person will collaborate with or build community partnerships that bring services and attention to the community and our residents. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work cooperatively with property management, maintenance and/or HCV staff to support housing stability and address housing issues for up to 200+ households at various locations.

2. Provide necessary documentation and/or verifications to support residents annual or interim reviews, change of circumstances, reasonable accommodations, VAWA certifications, etc.

3. Meet with participants to assess and discuss their specific housing situation and barriers and help problem solve; assist participants in identifying and resolving challenges and issues.

4. Identify participant service needs and provide information and referrals to social services; connect participants to programs and services that will help them achieve their goals; help participants apply for and maintain social services and entitlements.

5. Develop Individual Service or Work Plans in which intake, assessment, plan of referral, and linkage to services and follow-up are utilized.

6. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with community partners to ensure participants have access to information, services, and assistance for which they qualify; act as a liaison between local governmental agencies, community councils, individuals, and residents.

7. Create and sustain partnerships and service resources to assist and support tenants in their efforts to become self-sufficient; may coordinate some self-sufficiency activities, in partnership with local agencies and other Resident Services Coordinators.

8. Participate in the development and implementation of goals, work plans, performance measures, and continuous improvement of service delivery to assist in attaining program initiatives and goals, agency core strategies, and mission.

9. Use data tracking software/systems to input participant data regularly; verify accuracy of data regularly in compliance with Resident Services department standards.

10. Gather data and prepare reports as needed.

11. Complete all required paperwork and maintain participant files per department documentation standards.

12. Support the implementation and evaluation of EHA and Resident Services Department initiatives and goals; attend to other administrative duties including departmental meetings and serving on agency committees or work groups as requested.

13. Participate in community networks or councils and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and abilities.

14. Follow mandatory Child and Adult Protective Services reporting laws.

15. Coordinate language translation services as needed or requested.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

· Excel as a communicator, demonstrating compassion and active listening skills to identify root causes and find solutions.

· Be agile, capable of managing multiple viewpoints and seeing situations from different perspectives, while also being highly responsive.

· Have a thorough knowledge of available resources and social services and an understanding of how to access or make appropriate referrals.

· Work independently and manage time and tasks efficiently in an evolving and changing environment.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, public administration, or related field AND

· Considerable experience in social services, housing programs, case management, crisis intervention, behavioral health, and/or community development programming.

OR

· An equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

Salary Description
$60,907 - $79,179 annually
