Mental health clinicians are responsible for providing comprehensive clinical services to clients in a six-bed residential treatment facility. Primary responsibilities include treatment coordination and documentation and providing direct clinical services to clients (individual, family, and group therapy).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, mental health clinicians participate in implementation and promotion of a six-bed residential treatment facility for clients with eating disorders. The primary responsibility of the clinician is to implement our integrative, evidence-based treatment approach with clients. Clinicians work with both individuals and families in both individual and group therapy. The therapist responsibilities include facilitating patient safety, providing milieu interventions, leading psychoeducational, skills and process-oriented therapy groups, complete clinical assessments, conduct individual and family therapy sessions, and case management tasks, as assigned.

  1. Coordinate with all persons involved in client treatment.
  2. Case management tasks that include but are not limited to coordinating discharge planning, collaborating with outpatient providers, and submitting appropriate documentation to providers.
  3. Interact with clients in the milieu, teaching and modeling appropriate coping skills.
  4. Facilitate group therapy that includes process groups, skills group and family meetings.
  5. Conduct individual therapy.
  6. Complete accurate and timely charting.
  7. Facilitate clients’ safety at all times.
  8. Maintain a teamwork ethic through collaboration and communication with staff.
  9. Have a clinical and working knowledge of crisis prevention and intervention. Be able to operate effectively in a crisis.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:


Education/License: Masters Degree and/or Ph.D. from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health or a related field. Master's level, must be registered with BBS as Licensed Clinical Social Worker, (LCSW), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT).

Experience: Two years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting and experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, and communication preferred. Experience with adolescents' young adults, and adults is preferred. 


Sunol Hills provides clinical supervision for AMFTs.

We also maintain a thorough cleaning and sanitization schedule, conduct temperature checks, and currently limit visitors to solely parent/guardian meetings outdoors with clients.


AUTHORIZATION SECURITY CLEARANCE


Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship and pass extensive background check 


SCHEDULE


20-24 hour per week, 3 days per week on site at the facility.

Salary Description
$32-$45 per hour DOE
