Basic Description:

The Mortgage Banker/Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) will assist & support their Senior Mortgage Banker(s) (SMB) in the origination of residential real estate loans. This support role is critical in facilitating data processing, along with analysis of documents necessary to qualify and submit client files to the Operations Department. The candidate will be working hand in hand behind the scenes with the SMB in following protocol while offering and developing a timely & efficient workflow to maximize and prioritize every aspect of origination support activities. Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines for each task is imperative. The candidate must hold an active NMLS license and have previous mortgage experience. 

Responsibilities:

  • Setting appointments and/or organizing business related gatherings
  • Maintain, build, develop and nurture referral/business partner relationships (i.e. real estate agents)
  • Enhance relationships with clients and strategic referral partners via marketing documents.
  • Management of CRM and all of its functions (i.e. data entry, campaign facilitation, emails, phone calls, letters and anything else deemed necessary and/or appropriate). 
  • Timely follow up of critical documents from clients in order facilitate a timely closing.
  • Create, implement, and manage necessary procedures to maximize team efficiency and provide tools for success (i.e. pipeline progression and workflow)
  • Submitting, documenting and attaining the highest quality file submission into operations as possible.
  • Gather, analyze, upload and label all necessary documentation into the Encompass e-folder.
  • Data entry, facilitating credit pulls, running of DU/LP and GUS through Encompass 
  • Accepts all other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must be registered and licensed with a minimum of 1-5 years of experience with residential real estate loans. 
  • A history of developing relationships with key referral partners.  
  • Basic knowledge of the mortgage industry, systems, and processes.  
  • Must possess the capacity and foresight to navigate the hurdles that often come along with an array of financing products including FHA, VA, Conventional, and USDA, etc. (list is not comprehensive to all products we offer) 
  • Must possess an adequate amount of knowledge in both state and federal regulations to perform the task with strong compliance integrity. 
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer will be required. 
  • Some travel throughout the year as needed.
