 Catering Lead

 Great Western Dining Service, Inc at Avila University is seeking an experienced Catering Lead. The Catering Lead is expected to schedule, process, prepare and deliver orders to the client. Provide prompt courteous service that exceeds the customers expectations.  

Responsibilities:

• Reserve rooms and communicate with Avila University facilities and IT department for set up needs
• Communicate with Food Service Director in regard to menu, prices and set up times
• Assures catering function sheet is filled out completely
• Staffing needs as scheduled and work with the FSD/Catering Manager on scheduling.
• Coordinates with management for any food productions needed.
• Assists management with each daily operations as needed
• Assists with even set up, event and breakdown of event.
• Assist with generating AR bills with FSD for the events.
• Assist in keeping AR's collected.
• Responsible for Marketing of services provides to the Avila Community and surrounding businesses.
• Responsible for any rentals needed for special events.
• Assist in day to day operations as needed: opening unit/closing unit/service
• Meets weekly to assure all department s are in the loop with upcoming events.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Clean professional appearance and demeanor 
• Excellent organization, customer service and time management skills
• Works well under pressure 
• Preferred- Proven track record of event coordination.
• Maintain positive upbeat attitude 
• Significant walking
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull and frequently lift/move up to 30 pounds
