Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Ophthalmic Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist ophthalmologists in providing high-quality eye care to patients. This role involves performing diagnostic tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures 
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and retinal imaging 
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment 
  • Document patient history and test results accurately in electronic health records 
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols

Requirements

 Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Prior ophthalmic or healthcare experience preferred, but not required 
  • Certification (COA or similar) is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members 
  • Comfortable working with medical equipment and technology 
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
