Wild Bill's Tobacco is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Tech to maintain properties in the Monroe/Brownstown, MI area. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of plumbing, construction, and electrical work, and may also work on exterior maintenance tasks such as painting, window replacement, and A/C condenser repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Conduct building walk-throughs for potential locations
- Conduct building measurements for potential locations
- Addressing security and safety issues
- Testing and recommending new maintenance products
- Coordinating deliveries from vendors and suppliers
- Documenting inspections and issues
- Performing landscaping, general maintenance, and pest control
- Managing an inventory of cleaning and repair supplies
- Training junior staff if applicable
Qualifications:
- Construction skills including carpentry, painting, and plumbing
- Must know how to use measuring devices (tape or laser)
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving abilities for maintenance problem-solving
- Administrative skills for supply ordering, record-keeping, and maintenance scheduling
- Physical strength and dexterity to handle equipment
- Stamina for prolonged standing and walking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for discussing maintenance issues
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Organizational and time management skills
Experience:
3 years of building maintenance experience

Working conditions:

Must not have a fear of heights, working in or around electricity.
