Description
Job Summary
Service, repair, or program the security systems and other related equipment by following the blueprints of building plans and electrical layouts.
Job Duties
- Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features in order to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain or repair security systems, alarm devices, or related equipment
- Respond to customer service request calls
- Troubleshoot, diagnose problem and develop solution
- Prepare and gather supplies and equipment for each day’s work
- Read and follow blueprints of home or building plans and electrical layouts
- Communicate with customer to discuss the problem and solution.
- Conduct inventory of equipment in service truck
- Drill holes for wiring in the wall studs, ceilings, and floors
- Pull cables through success holes, cavity walls, and roof spaces to reach outlets
- Keep service truck organized and clean inside and out
- Report service truck issues, accidents, tickets, etc.
- Performs inspections of burglary and fire alarm systems
Requirements

- Low voltage experience

Physical Requirements
- Work may be performed in a field environment, including exposure to adverse weather conditions, heights, and confined spaces.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent walking, crawling, climbing, bending, kneeling, and manual handling, including use of hands and fingers, is required.
