Description

As an Estimator, you will be the central figure in ensuring timely, accurate, and professional repair estimates that help our customers get their vehicles back on the road quickly and efficiently. You will serve as the bridge between the customer and the

service department, gathering all necessary information, preparing accurate estimates, and maintaining consistent communication throughout the repair process.


This position requires a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of precision and clear communication. You will work closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, Parts, and Foremen to ensure seamless workflow and excellent service delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and interview customers to determine repair needs and gather required vehicle and contact information.
  • Create detailed and accurate repair estimates in a timely manner using service systems and vendor quotes.
  • Open and manage Repair Orders (ROs) with clear documentation of vehicle condition, repair needs, and expected timelines.
  • Communicate consistently with customers to provide updates on repair status and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Coordinate closely with Service Foremen, Advisors, Technicians, and Parts personnel to ensure accurate and efficient estimates.
  • Document all customer interactions and updates in the designated system.
  • Monitor open ROs and proactively follow up to keep repairs moving forward.
  • Review completed repairs with customers, finalize ROs, and facilitate payment collection.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with an emphasis on communication, transparency, and timely response.
  • Participate in quality reviews to improve estimating processes and service performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
  • Regular use of computers, phones, and office equipment.
  • Occasional work in non-climate-controlled areas (shop/garage environment).
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Requires excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean MVR.
  • Previous estimating experience in a vehicle service or repair environment strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of vehicle systems and repair procedures.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in pricing and customer negotiations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software platforms.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical.
