POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION



Assist Mortgage Loan   Originator in the administration and processing of mortgage loans to ensure   efficient loan processing in all phases of the loan transaction.

      

  

MAJOR AREAS OF   responsibilities


   

1. Assist Mortgage Loan Originator     (MLO) with all origination and loan process functions.

 

2. Conduct     preliminary research needed on the loan to help determine mortgage     eligibility.

 

3. Set     signing appointments. Provide     customer service to clients.

 

4. Prepare     files for submission to loan processing.

 

5. Update     and mine marketing database for new loans.

 

6. Any     other miscellaneous requirements of the team.

7. May     originate.

      

  

Primary objectives



Assist the Mortgage Loan Originator on specific tasks   to allow the MLO to be most effective and productive in his/her role.

Pull and analyze   research regarding the property, credit, and other aspects of the file.

      

  

Specific Responsibilities



1. Provide origination support to MLO and borrower via:   make copies of borrower information, filing, and other administrative duties   as instructed by the MLO or needed by/for borrower.

2. Assist in pre-qualifications and pre-approval orders   as instructed by the MLO. Pull credit   reports and running AUS. Contact borrower for any and/or additional   information required. Set signing   appointments. 

3. Communicate with parties to schedule and set signing   appointment.

4. Assist in pre-qualifications and pre-approval orders   as instructed by the Loan Officer. Pull credit reports and running AUS. Contact borrower for any and/or   additional information required. Data   input function including setting up new customer files with application data.

5. Update the MLO’s database, mail thank-you notes to   customers and realtors.

6. Clerical ad hoc duties, as needed.

7. May originate if licensed.

      

  

Job Requirements

  

Broad Knowledge & Experience 


Administrative   assistance, clerical, and customer service knowledge and experience. Mortgage banking industry, familiar with Conventional,   FHA, and VA mortgage products. Clear   understanding of the current RESPA laws and guidelines.

 

Above Average Skills


Teamwork   and productivity skills. Must possess   excellent problem solving and customer service skills.

 

Demonstrated Ability


P/C   computer skills with solid understanding of MS Office and the ability to use   the loan origination system. Encompass   experience a plus.

 

General Knowledge 


Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment   with excellent customer service skills is a must.   Administrative practices and procedures.

Education & Experience



Degree or Equivalent  


High   school diploma or equivalent required. 2-4 year college curriculum preferred.



Years’ Experience


Minimum   one year experience and/or training.



Specialized Training


Knowledge   of Encompass Database software and or equivalent along with basic computer   skills.



Active Affiliations, Certifications


MLO/Originator License approved via NMLS.

       

  

Work Environment



Physical Demands  


Office   environment. Daily computer use and   close vision. Regular attendance is required (whether onsite or virtual).

Temperament


In   order to succeed in this position, attention to detail in a fast-paced   environment with excellent sales and customer service skills is a must.

       

Salary Description
$40k-$50k/yr plus commissions & bonuses
