Position Summary:
The Driver/Custodian plays a vital role in the daily routine of our clients by providing safe and courteous transportation to and from their Work and Adult Day Programs. In addition, this role helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport individuals to and from day programs and work sites using agency vehicles.
- Maintain a consistent transportation schedule and ensure timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Assist clients on and off the vehicle as needed, ensuring safety and dignity at all times.
- Perform general custodial duties including cleaning, sanitizing, and light maintenance of facilities and vehicles.
- Report any safety concerns, vehicle issues, or changes in clients’ behavior to supervisory staff.
- Comply with all local and state driving regulations and agency policies.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday:
- Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Weekends Off
Requirements
Requirements:
- Valid Class E driver’s license
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift and assist individuals with mobility challenges
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Reliable, patient, and professional with strong interpersonal skills
