What we're looking for:
The Site Superintendent will play a critical role in managing on-site execution of hospitality and mixed-use development projects. You will oversee daily field operations, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, monitor quality, and ensure timelines and budgets are met. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, ideal for someone who thrives in complex build environments and takes pride in high-end finishes and craftsmanship.
What we're looking for:
- Manage daily on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence
- Serve as the on-site representative of MML, coordinating with internal project managers, architects, designers, and subcontractors
- Interpret plans and specifications and provide direction to field crews
- Oversee scheduling and sequencing of trades and deliveries
- Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Maintain site cleanliness, order, and security
- Proactively identify and resolve issues in the field
- Track progress, log site activity, and provide regular updates to the Director of Construction
- Participate in punch walks and final inspections
- Ensure high standards are met in all aspects of construction, from framing to finish carpentry and final turnover
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Field Supervisor, preferably in hospitality, restaurant, retail, or mixed-use development
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, sequencing, codes, and trade scopes
- Ability to work closely with subcontractors, vendors, and design teams to execute high-quality projects
- Highly organized with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing timelines and holding trades accountable
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
- Proficiency in construction management tools and reporting (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) is a plus
- Ability to travel locally between job sites as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a variety of outdoor environments and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods across uneven terrain or construction sites
- Frequent climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Visual and auditory ability to identify hazards, operate equipment safely, and communicate effectively
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery, tools, and construction noise
- May require occasional use of ladders, scaffolding, or lifts
- Ability to wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
