Job Title: Machine Operator II

Hours: Full-time

Location: El Cajon, CA

Pay Range: $21-$23

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Other duties may be assigned. 

1. Operate rotary die cutters and card slitters, along with tipping and tabbing machines as needed. 
2. Perform machine setups, make-ready, tooling changes, adjustments, and job changeovers. 
3. Monitor performance and adjust equipment to maintain efficiency and quality. 
4. Troubleshoot common mechanical and operating issues to minimize downtime. 
5. Perform routine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and basic adjustments. 
6. Inspect products for cutting accuracy, alignment, registration, dimensions, and appearance. 
7. Read and follow production work orders, specifications, and instructions. 
8. Record production quantities and required job information accurately. 
9. Load, unload, and stage production materials safely. 
10. Communicate equipment problems, material defects, and safety concerns. 
11. Support operator cross-training and continuous improvement. 
12. Follow all safety procedures. 

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 – 2 years of hands-on production or industrial machine operation experience required; preferably in Print Finishing Machinery but not required. 
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand machine functions and make basic adjustments. 
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot common operational problems. 
• Attention to detail and ability to recognize quality defects. 
• Ability to read work orders, job specifications, and production instructions. 
• Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and measurements. 
• Willingness to learn and operate multiple types of production equipment. 
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a production team. 

Physical Demands 

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and to stand and walk for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
