Senior Project Engineer

Project Management

  1. Full Project Lifecycle: Demonstrated experience from concept and design to manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and      handover of complex industrial projects.
  2. Conveyor Systems Specific: Proven track record with various types of conveyor systems (belt, roller, chain, slat, overhead, etc.),    material handling equipment, and associated automation. 
  3. Schedule Management: Successful completion of projects/deliverables on time.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Experience working with internal teams (engineering, sales, manufacturing, installation), external clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  5. Risk Management: Identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks.
  6. Change Management: Managing scope changes, variations, and customer requests effectively.

Technical Engineering 

  1. Design & Analysis: Experience in mechanical design, structural analysis, and selection of components for conveyor systems      (e.g. chains, motors, gearboxes, trolleys, bearings, sprockets, rollers, etc.).
  2. Technical Documentation: Experience creating detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and mechanical installation      layouts.
  3. Automation & Controls Integration: Understanding of sensor integration, electrical device layouts, and control systems relevant to conveyor automation.
  4. Manufacturing & Fabrication: Familiarity with manufacturing processes, welding, and fabrication techniques for conveyor components.
  5. Site Installation & Commissioning: Hands-on experience or strong oversight of on-site installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Required Experience:

  1. Client-Facing Experience: Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and effectively with clients, manage expectations, and build relationships.
  2. Leadership/Mentorship: Experience leading project teams, mentoring junior engineers, or providing technical guidance.
  3. CAD Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault, Revit, etc.) for design, layout, and detailing.
  4. Engineering Principles: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material science, dynamics, and      structural analysis.
  5. Controls Knowledge: Understanding of industrial automation platforms and ability to interpret electrical schematics and      control logic.
  6. Task Management: Ability to prioritize tasking and align project engineering team accordingly.
  7. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges and project roadblocks.
  8. Risk Assessment: Proactive identification and mitigation of project risks.
Requirements

  

  1. Required: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  2. Desired: Master’s Degree, PMP, PE Licensure, Industry Specific Training
